Vegas Baby!!

We are in Las Vegas for our 25th anniversary. We have not been here together since our 19th anniversary in 2003 when we came with our best friends, Martin and Donna Scott. We saw Celine at the Colleseum at Ceasers Palace. This time we are going to see Cher at the same venue. Vegas continues to morph itself each time we come. We are staying at an outstanding resort, the Wynn Encore!

The Encore/Wynn Las Vegas complex is so big it's like a city unto itself! Shopping? What do you want? Rolex? Cartier? Chanel? Gucci? Mojito? It's all here plus a lot more including 12 resturants, 5 swimming pools and two spas! We explored all morning and have yet to see the whole complex. What a place!

Wow. It is amazing who you can find on the web. I moved around a lot as a child and therefore didn't have too many friends growing up. We did however, live in Visalia, Calif. for several years from the time I was 6 until aged 13. I began looking for some of my friends from that town on Classmates.com and voila! It's pretty cool!

Rough Day

One of my employees had a miscarriage over the weekend. I hate to see anyone that works for me having problems or issues. I am a big feeler and with three daughters it so reminds me how lucky Becky and I have been with our girls.

Angles Lose in a Classic

What a game last night between the NY Yankees and the LA Angels. I have seen a lot of great MLB games in my life but that game was a gem. It had it all - great defense; lousy defense; great hitting; lousy hitting; great piching; lousy pitching; great managing; lousy managing; lousy weather; lousy weather; oh I said that twice didn't I? That is because that was the worst weather to play a championship game in the history of MLB. It was a shame my team lost but I will remeber it for a long time. GO ANGELS!!!

Obama

I have to admit something - I voted for our current President. Now, I have always been a staunch Republican and had never...I mean never voted for a Democrat of any cut of the cloth my entire voting life. But I really thought we needed a huge change after the debacle of the Bush years (who I voted for twice mind you) but what we have now is a President who is seemingly taking our nation closer to Socialism. That scares the crap outta me and it should you too!

As he spends and spends more money (which he doesn't have mind you) my Grandchildren and their Great-Grandchilren will be paying for the Bush and Obama's administrations spending habits. Maybe for generations.

I admit we need better healthcare for the nations populations that do not have health care but sadling us with untold debt is not the remedy. Do I have the answer? No but it appears President Obama and Speaker Peolsi don't have the answer either.

Time for a Change

I decided last night to quit drinking alcohol. Just time. I have almost ruined my relationship with one of my female friends and my Daughters in the last two weeks so, I am sober tonight for the first time in six years! Actually feeels pretty good!
